Create a brochure for high risk pregnant females, i.e., pregnant teens, and women>35.
The brochure needs to include the following information:
•Provide weight gain recommendations for over, normal, and underweight females. This includes the BMIs for each weight status; i.e. overweight BMI 25-29.9
•Indicate 2 macronutrients and 2 micronutrients pregnant females need to consume at a higher amount than when not pregnant. Include the recommended amounts based on RDAs and provide at least 2 examples of foods that contain these nutrients•Indicate 2 risk factors for pregnant females who are <16 years of age
•Indicate 2 risk factors for pregnant females who are>35 years of age
•Provide the energy needs for the 1st 6 months of breastfeeding and 2nd 6 months of breastfeeding

Instructions: You will complete one section of this project every week, starting in Unit 2 and ending in Unit 9. By the end of Unit 9, you will have compiled a portfolio on one athlete and one sport.Part II:What level of carbohydrate is recommended for this athlete and sport?
Discuss how carbohydrates are utilized when the athlete is actively participating in the sport. The student will prepare a 2 page paper (with at least 2 APA style references) to address this portion of the project answering the following questions:
1. The student determines the correct percentage of carbohydrate the athlete’s diet needs to contain. This also includes the amount of grams and calories that the carbohydrates provide.
2. The student correctly illustrates the steps in carbohydrate metabolism during athletic activity. Specifically, what energy systems are utilized while your athlete is working out, the aerobic anaerobic or phosphagen energy systems? In other words, how do the cells produce ATP for energy? (Through which process: aerobic, anaerobic or phosphagen). Realize that there may be more than one energy system used here).
3. The student describes the storage of carbohydrate in the athlete. How are excess carbohydrates stored? Are they readily available for this athlete? Do they need to be? How does the ATP production method impact the recommended nutrient intake amount?(From question 1)
