When working with parents or students the last thing you want to think about is friendly fraud. Your goal is to conduct as many lessons as possible and scale your business. What is a Chargeback?

A Chargeback is a disputed transaction from the cardholder. This dispute is raised by the cardholder’s bank and is meant to financially reimburse the cardholder for reasons such as: card not authorized;product not received; recurring transactions; merchant error or product not as described.

How We Help You

Once you subscribe to our tutor management software, we will schedule a meeting to review your payment environment. There won’t be back and forth emails, we will work together with you and see how you currently process payments and what we can improve as well as what we should begin tracking.

Remember with us you’ll have 3 ways to handle payments with. Stripe, PayPal and through our internal processor (which processes payments at 2.8% in the US). Although we prefer you to work within these 3 processors we will still review your environment if you are using a different method and provide suggestions to improve how you take payments.

Aside from onboarding you’ll be able to submit cases you receive from payment processors directly on our portal for us to review. Once we review your case (generally within 24-48 hours) we will have a response drafted for you to send to your processor to contest the chargeback.

The End Result

Generally you will receive a response from Stripe, PayPal or other payment gateways within 3-5 business days after you submit your response. If everything is properly tracked you should be able to win the majority of your cases.
