24HourAnswers is proud to announce that they are offering a $500 scholarship awarded to two lucky applicants each year.

Students pursuing post-secondary degrees in the United States are welcome to apply, regardless of grade level and major. Simply record a video relating to one of the topics listed below. Upon completion, you’ll need to submit it before the deadline to be entered to win.

24HourAnswers will select one winner in the spring and another in the fall each year — so you have two opportunities to be chosen.

How to Apply

To apply for the 24HourAnswers Video Scholarship, pick one of the following topics and create a video about it:

• What are the most common problems you have when doing homework, and how do you overcome them?

• Describe a time where you asked for help that ended with a positive outcome.

• How has technology improved your ability to complete schoolwork?

You must fully answer the prompt in your own words. Remember to speak clearly and use proper grammar. All work should be your own, and you are not permitted to use copyrighted material in your videos.

If you would like to quote another source, you must give credit in the video. Your video length should be 3-6 minutes in total. Successful candidates will demonstrate creativity, originality, and quality through their submission.

You can create any style of video, including but not limited to:

• Cinematic.

• Animated.

• Humorous.

• Theatrical.

• Serious.

You should give your video a title and upload it to YouTube or Vimeo. To submit, email your video link to scholarships@24houranswers.com before the deadline.

Submission Guidelines

If you’d like to be considered for the scholarship, you’ll need to submit your video application before the deadlines listed below. Since there are two scholarships given each year, you’ll have two opportunities to be selected.

Spring Scholarship:

• Deadline to submit — May 1st 

• Winner announced — June 1st

Fall Scholarship:

• Deadline to submit — November 1st

• Winner announced — December 1st

Am I Eligible?

The scholarship is available to all U.S. residents enrolled in post-secondary education. You must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to qualify. Applicants must have graduated high school and be a full-time student in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program. Any major can apply so long as they meet the criteria listed above.

Previous winners are welcome to reapply for future scholarships. You can also apply if you’re attending an online university, so long as the institution is based in the U.S.

How the Award Will Be Given

24HourAnswers will review each entry and choose the one which best answers the prompt while demonstrating creativity and uniqueness.

If you are selected as the scholarship recipient, you’ll receive an email notifying you with information on how to proceed. If you do not respond within four weeks of the email, a different winner will be chosen.

24HourAnswers will send the $500 scholarship directly to the school you are attending. If selected, you must be able to provide documentation to support the data you provide. More specifically, you must provide proof of enrollment and the school’s name, address, and contact information. All universities must be registered in the United States.

The $500 scholarship is meant to pay for tuition and school costs — it can not be transferred to the student or used for any other reason. This funding is nonrenewable, and you must reapply if you’d like to be awarded for multiple school years. You may only submit one video at a time. If you are not chosen for the spring scholarship, you may submit the same link or create a new video for the fall.
